“Part 3: The Gems Of Aquilonia”
Dragonero’s airship descends under great duress. The damage sustained while battling Wyverns over the Margondar Mountains is just too much. As Myrva Aranill struggles to direct the vessel forward, Conan helps look for a place to land. Their options are limited. The three heroes brace for impact as the rooftops of a border village rockets toward the ship.
Elsewhere, in an underground labyrinth of ancient buildings, the dragon wounded by Conan rests in a pool of enchanted springwaters. Nearby, a water spirit casts healing magic upon the beast and its wing. A conversation between Dragon and Undine shifts towards the magic gems of Aquilonia. Will the dragon use the gems to control Erondàr or the Earth realm? It matters little until the pursuers of both worlds are destroyed.
Why don’t the Wyverns of Margondar understand that when they get close to Conan, they die? Can Myrva Aranill land their airship without killing the local villagers? What happened to the ancient dragons of Erondàr? Collect the series to find out!
Review
Will Conan and Dragonero survive a fully healed ancient dragon? Let’s hope so! This was another fun crossover issue. The question is if Titan has plans to produce a Dragonero solo title? It would be a nice edition to the catalog. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. This issue gets a four out of five stars from me.
