Red Sonja is a legendary warrior of the Hyborian Age, instantly recognizable by her crimson hair, chainmail armor, and unmatched skill with the sword. Created by Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith and inspired by Robert E. Howard’s Red Sonya of Rogatino, Red Sonja has become one of the most enduring female icons in sword-and-sorcery fiction. Her stories blend brutal combat, dark magic, mythic landscapes, and fierce independence, setting her apart from both heroes and villains.
Appearing in Marvel Comics and later expanded by Dynamite Entertainment, Red Sonja stands as a symbol of strength, survival, and defiance in a savage world. Her adventures span epic battles, ancient gods, cursed relics, and morally complex choices, making her a cornerstone of fantasy comics and pulp-inspired storytelling.

My Rating “By Blood Betrayed!” Three days have passed since Red Sonja smuggled the last descendant of Elarr Vorn into the Pirosin Tower for treatment. Surely, an elixir or ancient remedy existed that could rid Aretha Vorn of her bloodline curse. Sonja had watched village healers perform minor miracles with far less at their disposal.

My Rating “Things Get Worse!” Captured by the one enemy Sonja regrets most. The slovenly backstabber king of Koth, Zafos. Now Red Sonja must choose between a hastened execution or parlay between her and the man who ordered the death of Prince Eaymon. Decisions, decisions… The safety of the kingdom takes priority over Sonja’s ego.
My Rating “And The Blood Gave Up Its Secrets!” Prince Eaymon has fallen! As Red Sonja races for the city of Khorshemish, revolutionaries known as the Rising Sun continue to slaughter the kingdom’s ruling class. Sonja must find a way to cleanse the daughter of Elarr Vorn, for the girl’s blood is the key that
My Rating “Doom Of The Gods – Part 04” Sonja has survived the disease which ravaged the Picts. Now, in her right mind, she must make one final decision: attack the immortal Thulsa Doom or bow down and serve him. With the remains of another god spread across two acres of mountainside, the choice is
My Rating “Doom Of The Gods – Part 03” Mucasa has fallen. Another god destroyed by Thulsa Doom and his Hyrkanium Scepter. Shall none stand before his might? A flash of steel rips his arm to the bone. Red Sonja has found her target after weeks of hunting! Doom turns to his attacker, but this is no
My Rating “Doom Of The Gods – Part 02” The Pictish city of Siket has fallen to the cannibal plague brought by Thulsa Doom. With the death of their water-god, Dosuma, there is no recourse for those dying of thirst. They will soon join the zombie horde. Across the river, in a clearing, Red Sonja
My Rating “She-Devil With A Sword – Part 01” The Kothian Aristocracy has had it too good for far too long!
